May 1996, Sunyu started operation as a translation team based in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, undertaking third-party outsourcing translation projects.
November 16, 1999, Nanjing Sunyu Translation Co., Ltd. was officially registered at 130 West Phoenix St. , Nanjing , specializing in translation, language instruction, and network designing, etc.
May 2001, Sunyu began to shift its focus in operation to establishing science and technology translation as its core business.
July 2003, the company was relocated to Dongfang Mingyuan Building in Nanjing.
March 2004, the company was relocated to the 26th Floor of Jiangsu Culture Mansion , No. 89 South Zhongshan Road.
June 2004, in addition to English and Japanese translation, the company started to provide science and technology translations in French and German. Meanwhile, Sunyu began its large-scale recruitment campaign.
January 2005, Sunyu expanded its office space to the 23rd Floor of Jiangsu Culture Mansion for its legal translation branch.
April 2005, Sunyu completed its first personnel training program for localization business, making its official entry into the localization market.
June 2005, Sunyu entered the specialized interpret ation market, especially the simultaneous interpret ation market.
November 2005, Nanjing Sunyu Translation Co., Ltd. was renamed as Jiangsu Sunyu Translation Co., Ltd.
In the coming five years, Sunyu will expand its translation services in English, Japanese, German, French, and Korean and explore the localization market so as to achieve its goal of becoming the forerunner in the translation industry.
